Style of Teaching
My classes are geared towards gentle-intermediate and are fitness based. I pride myself in my ability to give excellent verbal queues and corrections. I guide by speaking and demonstrating. I also ensure that nearly every move or pose is accompanied by various modifications (gentle to advanced) to allow for people to ease back or press harder as they wish.
I like to participate with my students throughout the whole class, correcting when it is needed. My style of teaching is less hands-on and more interactive, I find that many students, myself included, benefit from being able to see the instructor performing all the moves and are actually quite motivated by the "community" atmosphere of having everyone in the room powering through!
YogaFit is the largest yoga school in North America, bringing yoga to every body in a way that is safe and adaptable. My class is practical, user-friendly style, regardless of their body type, fitness level, or experience. Yoga is truly my bread and butter, it has been a large part of my life for a long time. I truly feel at home when guiding a practice: restorative, power flow, or vinyasa.
Pilates Barre combines the balance and lengthening of Barre with the toning and repetition of Pilates! Barre is a ballet inspired workout using small deliberate motions combined with balance, Pilates is similar to yoga but a more intense workout with more repetitions and a strength focus. This “all-levels” class begins with setting intentions, followed by power, and finishing with stretches, and is a class that you will feel, mind and body, for days after.
